Patterson, Grotts win Missoula XC elite races

ravallirepublic.com – Lesley Patterson’s year didn’t get off to a great start, but it sure is going well now.

The 34-year-old from Scotland quit her first love, triathlon racing, to train full time in mountain bike racing, and it wasn’t easy. She had to learn how to better maneuver on treacherous, rocky slopes and how to stay upright while sometimes just inches away from her fellow competitors.
