Floyd’s of Leadville Expand Offerings After WADA Lifts CBD Ban

Floyd’s of Leadville Announces 50mg softgel and 600mg & 1200mg tinctures

Floyd Landis is best known for his 2006 Tour de France victory and subsequent disqualification and ban from professional cycling. After his cycling career had ended Landis was still battling pain from previous injuries and a hip replacement at age 31. According to Landis “I started to rely on opioids, not only for pain relief, but as a way to escape my depression. I had won the Tour de France, considered the pinnacle of sporting accomplishment, only to have it stripped from me. I was left to pick up the pieces of my life and try to redefine myself. I was no longer a professional athlete in one of the most popular sports in the world. I was now a disgraced former athlete with numerous lingering painful injuries, falling deeper into depression.”

Thanks to a highly questionable pharmaceutical industry and ease of access Landis had fallen into the same Opioid trap much of America is currently mired in. Frustrated by this fact Landis set out to find an alternative to pill popping, and being a Colorado resident that alternative was Cannabis.

Eventually Landis would use this experience to create Floyd’s of Leadville, a business focused on pain management via Cannabidiol, or CBD. CBD is a non-psychoactive, organic compound found in cannabis plants with various potential benefits. Meaning, it is Cannabis oil but lacking the THC that gets you high.

Potential CBD benefits include:

  • HELPS RELIEVE PAIN
  • DECREASES CHRONIC INFLAMMATION AND RELIEVE JOINT AND NEUROPATHIC PAIN
  • HELPS REGULATE BLOOD SUGAR
  • HELPS REDUCE CLOGGED BLOOD VESSELS IN THE HEART AND BRAIN
  • REDUCES IRREGULAR HEART RHYTHMS
  • HELPS WITH DIGESTION AND IRRITABLE AND INFLAMMATORY BOWEL SYNDROMES
  • IMPROVES SLEEP
  • HELPS BONE GROWTH (ANIMAL STUDIES HAVE SHOWN BROKEN BONES HEALED FASTER IN THE GROUP TAKING CBD THAN IN THE CONTROL GROUP)
  • HELPS IN TREATING AUTO-IMMUNE DISORDERS
  • HAS ANTI-TUMOR PROPERTIES THAT CAN BE EFFECTIVE IN KILLING CANCER CELL
  • HELPS WITH PTSD, OCD AND PANIC DISORDERS

Recently the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) removed CBD from their banned substances list, meaning Landis can not more freely offer his product to athletes.

Floyd’s of Leadville have introduced a larger 50mg CBD Hemp Oil soft-gel capsule and a two sizes of tincture extract. The company adds that ‘the new larger dose soft-gel and tincture extract means that everyone is better able to control the amount of CBD Hemp Oil they are utilizing for pain management and inflammation post exercise.’

Tinctures applications allows for pain relief to be more controlled and the effects can be felt more quickly as it does not need to go through the digestive system. The higher dosage soft-gel cap is targeted at those who require more relief in one easy to swallow capsule.
