XTERRA Kids makes its debut in XTERRA South Africa – Buffelspoort

Buffelspoort Dam was teaming with excitement on Friday, 22 January 2016 when junior multi-sport enthusiasts between the ages of 6 – 14 gathered at the water’s edge to partake in the action of South Africa’s premier off road triathlon, the Fedhealth XTERRA.

“We are overwhelmed by the support that the Fedhealth XTERRA Kids race received in Buffelspoort today,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “XTERRA celebrates a healthy lifestyle that encourages families and friends to get outdoors and have fun. Witnessing the interaction between child and parent as they took on the three XTERRA Kids disciplines (swim, mountain bike and trail run) and crossed the finish line to receive their medals was priceless.  We look forward to one day welcoming these XTERRA Kids Warriors to the XTERRA Buffelspoort Lite and then finally the XTERRA Buffelspoort Full.”

Says Jeremy Yatt, Principal Officer of Fedhealth: “What made XTERRA really appeal to us, is the fact that it allows the whole family to be involved, whether in a team, in the kids events, or in the Lite and Full. Family values lie close to our hearts as a Scheme.”
