Belgian Pros Luxem And Coddens Take You On A Tour Of XTERRA Belgium

Belgian cross triathlon pros, Yeray Luxem and Kris Coddens recently give us a taste of what to expect from the inaugural XTERRA Belgium to be held July 11, 2016.

Luxem and Coddens shot some video on the course and were the subject of an article for Belgian triathlon magazine, 3athlon.be.

XTERRA Belgium LogoWhile Belgium has had numerous cross duathlons in the past this will be the country’s first XTERRA. XTERRA Belgium will be held in Namur, a city which is used to hosting major sporting events as it is a regular host of world class cyclocross events.

Luxem and Coddens described the course to 3athlon.be as being “open to everyone, not too technical and with a lot of variation, but certainly a very difficult course. Climbs and descents follow each other, the trouble for anyone”, says Coddens. Luxem is particularly excited about the swim to bike saying, “It is unique to swim around the island … and then it’s serious then right up to the Citadel and that climb we have to do it three times. Unique also for the spectators”.
