Full Press Release from In2Adventure…
BRISBANE — In breaking news from In2Adventure, the TreX Series is set to launch an all new duathlon format at ALL seven TreX Events in 2017/18. The market has asked for a duathlon format and here it is.
In2Adventure has long had a reputation for listening to and responding to its customers and this latest initiative to include a duathlon format at all seven TreX events in 2017/18 is set to be launched in response to competitor feedback.
The TreX Series will still feature the dedicated duathlon event as Race 1 on 20th August with a Trail Run | MTB | Trail Run format, however in a new innovation participants will also have the option at EVERY TreX event to take part in a duathlon format that will include a Mountain Bike and then Trail Run.
Event Director Robyn Lazenby told us that this new initiative has been launched in response to market feedback as well as supporting In2Adventure’s corporate principle of ‘Participation’.
“We are always looking to our competitors for their ideas and feedback and the TreX Series as it stands today, ten years after we launched the series in Australia is a result of constantly listening to, and more importantly ACTING on that feedback.
One of our key market demographics are our mountain bikers looking to use their skills but to do something a little bit different. The swim is often a barrier to entry for this section of the market, so what the duathlon format provides is an opportunity to come along and discover the thrill of Off Road triathlon racing and hopefully then provide the incentive to put a ‘toe in the water’ so to speak,”
With the introduction of the duathlon and aquabike format in 2017/18 as well as offering Standard, Sprint, Junior, Teaser and Dirt Kids Courses Australia’s home grown off road series is offering an opportunity for all comers to be a part of Australia’s most exciting sport.
So if swimming isn’t quite your thing yet, but you love mountain biking and you love trail running it’s time to Get In2 the TreX Duathlon format events across the country in 2017/18.
