UK triSUP Series Trades the Swim for a Paddle

TriSUP launch UK paddle/bike/trail run triathlon series

Not a fan of the swim? Feel like you’re just not fast enough in the water? A new UK cross tri (partially) series might just be perfect for you.

According to the new series’ website, “Tri SUP is an exciting new triathlon format that introduces Stand Up Paddle Boarding in place of the traditional swim stage”

The new five race series will consist of paddle/bike/trail run races throughout England. Two of the events (Pioneer and Phoenix) will offer MTB bike legs. Yeah, we know, if they are gonna have trail runs not have all the races offer MTB bike legs? Perhaps we can expect that in the future, for now we are happy to see nearly half the series offering MTB.

All races in the series will offer short and standard distance events with the short consisting of: 1.5km paddle, 15km off-road or 25km road bike, and a 3km run. The standard distance will consist of: 3km paddle, 25km MTB or 40km road bike and 5km run.

The triSUP series will also offer SUP board rentals for those needing a board and team options for teams of up to 8.
