Winter Triathlon Nationals Kick Off 2015 USA Triathlon Championship Season

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The 2015 USA Triathlon National Championships season gets underway on Saturday at the USA Triathlon Winter Triathlon National Championships, held in conjunction with the Winter Challenge at Bogus Basin in Boise, Idaho.

Athletes from across the country will compete for national titles in a traditional winter triathlon format, featuring a 4-kilometer cross country run, 14-kilometer bike and 6-kilometer Nordic ski. The course was updated this week to reflect the current snow conditions at Bogus Basin’s Nordic Lodge. This spectator-friendly course includes rolling hills, with 350 feet of climbing on each of the three bike laps and a fast out-and-back ski course.

The Winter Challenge at Bogus Basin was Idaho’s first winter triathlon event. For more information Saturday’s race, visit
