Aarwangen Winter Duathlon

Swiss cross triathlon pro, Jan Pyott claimed his first victory of 2016 at the 9th annual Aarwangen Winter Duathlon from Spichigwald, Aarwangen, Switzerland. While Ladina Buss claimed the women’s title.

You may recognize Pyott from his Instagram account and his incredible images of fat biking and trail running with his dog in the Swiss winter wonderland.

Pyott claimed victory over Christian Rutschmann on the 12.6k MTB/5k Run course by 48 seconds.

Meanwhile Buss had a bit of an easier time on the women’s side winning by 2:18 over Jana Petr.

Meanwhile, in Blommehaven, Denmark just outside Aarhus race #1 of the Danish Cross Duathlon series was claimed by Marie-Louise Jørgensen and Jonas Lemvig.

The Blommehaven MTB Cross Duathlon was limited to a field of 145 and came up just a bit short with 128 across the three categories. Still, that’s not too back to run/mtb/run through the frozen Danish countryside. Heck, we’d do it…maybe next year.
